Prayer For The Light Tree Prayer
Let there be light. Let it shine without and within. May the good road be wide that we need to walk upon. Now that the clouds are clearing may we all look up to see the clear blue skies and mountains distant where snowfall dusts their caps. May the water sparkle and shine clear and clean, filled with dancing sunlight and fish. Let the flowers open with the sun and fill meadows with colour. Our eyes need to be open wide to the light and inspiration of nature.
These interfaith prayers and blessings celebrate our sacred connection with nature and the living miracle of our planet Earth. You are free to add the name of your god/dess as appropriate and to add with greetings and endings as you wish for example ending with Amen or Blessed Be etc etc.

Morgana Goddess Blessing
The seas rise up to your coming, you who brings magic to the everyday and rhythm to life. Beautiful Mistress of the Isle of Apples whose sisters look after Arthur your wisdom brings the gift of knowledge of the earth to the people. Your healing powers are the inspiration that has carried down the centuries from ancestor to ancestor, a treasure held in the hearts of those who walk close to the earth. You are wildness, you are the path from the forest to the village. You are the singing girls throwing prayers to the moon. You are the medicine and the cure, the bear and the bears’ mistress. You call to the tide and sing to the sun and like the tide wait for no man. Your skirts are the sweet curve of the earth and your spells cast magic to the wind. You are sweetness and storms in equal measure, you are the lessons given to men in their great forgetting and the prayer when they remember they are the guests in your land. You are forests of oak hazel and thorn. You were the knights curse, you were his transformation you were his blessing. You are birthplace of story and the ending of days, the long nights by the fire. And once the remembering is done you are the dawn where man, trees, bird and beast can rise up and live again once more.
Hawthorn Tree Blessing
Oh humble hawthorn, catching the light. You with the dancing leaves stood on the grass surrounded by flowers, I see you. Little tree small in stature you are big in heart holding the sun in your arms. From fresh young leaves starting to open in February to brim full arms of flowers scenting the May and scarlet beaded berries in autumn, the delights you offer are many. You, who despite your small size, feed many. You feed the birds who joyfully sing in your branches. How lucky are we to have a hawthorn in our midst? You are proof that the biggest of us of are not always the best. You hold the light even in your shadow. Bless your bright heart and the golden dandelions at your feet.
During #lockdown and #socialisolation I, along with all of us as a green and growing communiTree stand strong together as a mighty forest of hope, strength and love. It's free to join us. Don't be lonely, there is a place for you here.

Love and Gratitude
Prayers and blessings are a way of creating greater #awareness both in ourselves and also of the world around us. They can be used as a positive #gratitude practice in a world that so often has no time for anything but endless rush and endless consumption. With #climatechange and the current destruction in the #environment taking place, we can all see perfectly well where this attitude is taking us and our fellow beings. Our disregard for #nature and the beings we share our home with have created the #covid19 #virus #pandemic. A brief prayer or blessing even of just a minute can be a tool used for good #mentalhealth through developing #selfawareness, to reconnect us with #life and our surroundings and to change our perspective of the #naturalworld and our place within it.
